McCAIN DESPERATE TO BE A CELEBRITY

Now I don't like talking politics because it's all a bunch of liars trying to con you into believing that they're not corrupt or greedy. They all are...but anyways. I'm just not liking McCain more and more as the days go by. Why? Because he's a greedy shallow selfish user. He uses women to gain an upper hand. Like his first and a second wife...especially his second wife, who's father helped introduce him into the political arena. And now there's Palin who he's using to gain voters.

Because before her no one was listening to him.

He calls the Dems desperate, when in fact he's the desperate one. That's why he chose Palin. He calls Barrack a celebrity, when in fact he's just jealous that Barrack has the celebrity vote on his side. McCain craves to be the center of attention, he like Heidi and Spencer long to be real celebrities. McCain relished on the attention he got after coming home from being a prisoner of war. Shaking hands with Nixon and being invited to Government functions. He dumped his first wife a former model after she was disfigured by a tragic car accident. He marries his present wife a month after his divorce from his first. Abandoning her [who needs constant care due to her injuries] and their kids.

To me McCain is not a man. He's a coward for abandoning his first wife and kids. He's a user who uses women in his life to get ahead. Don't be surprised by Nov. 4th he drops Palin for another VP candidate, one that is close to the Bush administration. He is a liar because he says he hates war, but he is for a draft. He's a desperate old man. The reason why he attacks Barracks character is because he has none. The reason why he attacks Barracks celebrity status is because he has none.

Voting for McCain means NO CHANGE, voting for Barrack means CHANGE.

McCain and Republicans argue how Barrack has no experience to take the presidents job. Did Bill Gates have experience computer technology? No, he dropped out of college and is the 3rd richest man [was no.1 for past 13 years] in the WORLD and has CHANGED computer technology and video gaming with his company Microsoft. Point is, sometimes experience doesn't mean jack sh#t.

With that it sounds like Celebrity Haider supports Obama. Obama's cool, but Clinton's cooler.

OBAMA BAND WAGON

McCain is right in a way, Obama has become a celebrity and he's got most of Hollywood jumping on his band wagon. And that will be what will sway voters to vote for him. Because the more celebrities that he can get on his side than the more civilians he can get on his side. Because we all love to follow the celebrity trend. Oprah is the biggest. She's got all the house wives on her side. So with her supporting Obama he'll be a sure thing.

He's got Oprah (of course), Scarlett Johannsen, Caroline Kennedy, George Clooney, Ed Norton, Will Smith, Rob Reiner, Laurence Fishburne, Warren Buffet, Kristen Chenoweth, Matt Damon, NAS, Sharon Stone, Stephen Colbert, Halle Berry, Ben Affleck, Jessica Biel but yet he DENIED Brad Pitt because he thought having Pitt helping his campaign would be "Too Hollywood." I'm sure the list has grown at least 5 times bigger. But yet no Brad Pitt or Angelina Jolie.

Like not having Will Smith or George Clooney isn't? I think it's cause Pitt and Angelina Jolie care to much about Africa and it's poverty than Obama would like. He knows Pitt and Jolie would be pushing the issue once he's elected and he doesn't want that.

The political game is so overrated. He's not going to change anything, nothings going to change. Our government will run as it always has. If McCain wins, it'll all still be the same. No President can change the government. The President isn't the boss of the government, the government is the boss of the President. Go ahead and waste your time in voting, your vote isn't going to make a difference at all.

OBEY OBEYING OBAMA

Okay so I've talked about how I feel Shepard Fairey has fallen and lost his street creds with his going mainstream and becoming a pop icon of sorts with his Obey campaign. This just solidifies my point and he even says so in a way...

"It's not cool with the sort of rebellious, punk, street-artist types to support something that is seen as a part of the system," said Shepard Fairey, the Los Angeles-based street artist responsible for the "Hope" posters and stickers.

Fairey is referring to the fact that he's jumped on the Obama band wagon. Obama will no doubt win the upcoming presidency. He's just to popular not to. He's become the Jabbawockeez of the presidential elections going against McCain who is Status Quo...In fact I wouldn't be surprised to see the Jabbawockeez performing at his Presidential Inauguration just like how the New York City Breakers did for Ronald Regan. Obey is literally obeying Obama. That's insane...

He's totally lost it...I don't count him as being part of the underground street culture anymore. To me he's put one foot out of the underground scene to gain popularity and fame while trying to keep the other foot in, to make it seem he's still part of it. Doesn't work that way.

A part of the "system" is what he's really becoming. And those who followed him before he became mainstream would understand that. Even I understand that and I didn't follow him til he blew up.

I mean his art is great but I think he's totally lost his street creds. I thought his "This [money] is your God" was a great campaign but I didn't think it should have come from him. Money has become his God more than anyone. And his reasons...money fuels his art.

I don't know, think what you will. It's your volition. I still think he's sold out. Especially when in the beginning he's reported to have said he'd remain underground and never mainstream.

THE HILLS LAUREN CONRAD AN "A" LIST SNOB

For months now I've been hearing things here and there about how Lauren Conrad [LC] has become such a snob during appearances. One event she showed up late and then after taking some pictures ducked out and left.

And on her show The Hills she seems to be losing friends left and right. First she lost Heidi and now on the preview for the season premiere it looks like she loses Audrina too. To me it seems like LC is a stereotypical reality show personality that has some how gotten it in their heads that they are A-List stars. And it's all our faults. No one should be giving her the time of day but we do and because of it she's walking around like she's got more clout than Angelina Jolie.

Someone really needs to destroy reality television...It's all Mark Burnett's fault. He's the cause of this up surge of reality flunkies. And the thing that gets me the most is none of it is reality at all. It's all scripted, manipulated, and planned out. If you really think your votes count on these reality show competitions than you are dumber than dog sh*t. Nothing on TV is ever 100% real and Live TV isn't really live! There's a 5-30min delay. So it's never really live at all. Death to reality TV! Except for ABDC, I like watching the crews dance.

CHE GUEVARA: A REVOLUTIONIST THAT BECAME A TREND

You've seen his famous face on shirts. He's become such a trendy icon, makes you wonder if people really know what they're wearing. The symbol, the meaning, the life of a man they never met nor in most cases never read about.

To most in Cuba El Che was a revolutionary leader that fought for his people. He was a man that saw the horrors of his country and wanted to change it. He saw that materialism and capitalism was destroying his country and he was man enough to say enough is enough. He stood up to the greedy evils of the CIA influenced government and fought them to his last days.

All governments are corrupt with greedy self serving politicians, especially ours. He was man enough to stand up to his countries greedy politicians and was captured and executed for it. That is why people who know an ounce of his life wear shirts that adorn his face. He was a leader for freedom.

One day someone will stand up to our own governments corruption and start a revolutionary war. And they will die for it. And in the end people will wear shirts with his image. The question is, who will that person be? Will you the US version of El Che? Life is to short to be govern and controlled by evil politicians. You really think Obama or McCain will bring change? or any President at that? Remember they were politician's before they became President and there is not one single good politician. They are ALL corrupt by greed and money.

El Che will live on forever as a revolutionary hero.

BET AWARDS OR THE "BLACK POWER" AWARDS

I never did like the BET Awards, mainly because back in the 90's the award show was so ghetto that rappers would actually get into confrontations during the airing of the show. The most infamous was during the West Coast & East Coast rap wars, when Snoop Dogg came out firing and spitting fuel to already tense atmosphere. Well all know what came out of the feuds...two of the most talented rappers dead. Tupac and Biggie. Ever since they I view BET as dirty as a strip joint. No matter how classy they try to be, they're still ghetto to me. And with the black this and black that comments these artists blurt out on this award show because they know they can. Any other award show they're on check.

One of the comments this year came from an obviously tipsy Sean "Diddy" Combs, he blurts out "To our blackness, black is beautiful baby, yea!" You know he wouldn't say that during an MTV award show, Kanye would. But anyhow I just thought that was funny comment for him to make. Considering he's the only black person who loves nothing more than to wear white. He's hosted a few "All white" parties in the Hampton's. If black is so beautiful why doesn't he wear more of it?

Then there's the what now seems to be politically driven Alicia Keyes with her quote and Obama support at the end of her speech. Oh let's not forget her comment in the beginning of her speech, where she made a comment about how everyone wants to be us (I can only imagine that means everyone wants to be black?). They only time I want to be black is during football season.

Diddy and Alicia were straight campaigning for Obama. Watch when it gets closer to the elections Diddy will be front and center with his "Vote Obama or Die!" I'd rather die. Obama would be as bad as Bush. No experience. But he'll have ALL the black entertainers on his side. They're going to push for the first black president. They want to break the mold of white presidents so badly. Whatever...it's all a gimmick, Obama is a gimmick.

Back to the show, it's all about black this and black that at these BET Awards. 400+ years of slavery remember? They never let you forget. They are so oppressed still...you know they've got natural ability to play sports and make millions doing it and they have this hip-hop enterprise locked down to where they're making millions off selling their brands...but they still complain. I wish us Asian guys could get into sports or the hip-hop front stage with ease and make millions. No we have to go through endless schooling to become boring a$$ engineers or postal workers. This show should be called the "Black Power" Awards cause that's the underlining message I get from watching this show. "We're great, your not!"

ANGELINA JOLIE WANTS TO BE FIRST FEMALE PRESIDENT

With all the humanitarian work Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt have done in the past few years it's not a surprise that talk about Angelina Jolie wanting to go into politics in the near future and eventually wants to be the first female President of the United States. Heck I never vote because only fools vote, but if she was running I'd vote for her. She's matured so much in the last few years that she seems older than what she really is. But I don't know, her competition would expose her wild years. They'd have a field day with her relationship with a bi-sexual woman. It wouldn't be pretty. But I think if she keeps doing what she's doing people will see past that and see all the selfless things she's done in her mature years. They'll chalk all the wild stuff to her adolescent years. What a hot President she would make. The leaders of other nations would just be thinking about her naked during meetings.

OBAMA CALLS OUT BLACK ABSENT FATHERS

On Father's Day Barrack Obama made a speech at a the Apostolic Church of God near his hometown. In his speech he called out all the absent black fathers. He like many black children is a product of an absent father. He calls such absent fathers boys, not men. "They have abandoned their responsibilities, acting like boys instead of men. And the foundations of our families are weaker because of it," the Democratic presidential candidate said Sunday.

For the first time, I agree with the man on an issue. I mean it's a sad but true fact that a majority of black absent fathers are selfish boys who aren't man enough to take on responsibilities. And No one else can bring up the issue, other than Obama, without sounding racist. Maybe he is good for a presidential run? He can address issues of race that white presidents can't. I dunno, I still think America is not ready to allow a minority or a woman as the President of our country. As much as we think we're passed all that, the truth is we're not.

But again props to Obama for calling out the issue. I think it reflects on why some black communities are so bad. People growing up without a father figure filling the void with drugs and gangs. Passing the cycle on to their children and onto their children's children. And endless cycle that has to stop.

DUNKIN' DONUTS PULLS RACHAEL RAY AD AFTER COMPLAINTS

By Mark Jewell
(with comments by the Mexican Wrestler)

BOSTON (AP) — Dunkin' Donuts has pulled an online advertisement featuring Rachael Ray after complaints that a fringed black-and-white scarf that the celebrity chef wore in the ad offers symbolic support for Muslim extremism and terrorism.

The coffee and baked goods chain said the ad that began appearing online May 7 was pulled over the past weekend because "the possibility of misperception detracted from its original intention to promote our iced coffee."

In the spot, Ray holds an iced coffee while standing in front of trees with pink blossoms.

Critics, including conservative commentator Michelle Malkin, complained that the scarf wrapped around her looked like a kaffiyeh, the traditional Arab headdress. Critics who fueled online complaints about the ad in blogs say such scarves have come to symbolize Muslim extremism and terrorism.

The kaffiyeh, Malkin wrote in a column posted online last Friday, "has come to symbolize murderous Palestinian jihad. Popularized by Yasser Arafat and a regular adornment of Muslim terrorists appearing in beheading and hostage-taking videos, the apparel has been mainstreamed by both ignorant (and not-so-ignorant) fashion designers, celebrities, and left-wing icons."

A statement issued Wednesday by Canton, Mass.-based Dunkin' Brands Inc., however, said the scarf had a paisley design, and was selected by a stylist for the advertising shoot.

"Absolutely no symbolism was intended," the company said.

Dunkin' spokeswoman Michelle King said the ad appeared on the chain's Web site, as well as other commercial sites.

Amahl Bishara, an anthropology lecturer at the University of Chicago who specializes in media matters relating to the Middle East, said complaints about the scarf's use in the ad demonstrate misunderstandings of Arab culture and the multiple meanings that symbols can take on depending on someone's perspective.

"I think that a right-wing blogger making an association between a kaffiyeh and terrorism is just an example of how so much of the complexity of Arab culture has been reduced to a very narrow vision of the Arab world on the part of some people in the U.S.," Bishara said in a phone interview. "Kaffiyehs are worn every day on the street by Palestinians and other people in the Middle East — by people going to work, going to school, taking care of their families, and just trying to keep warm."

While some extremists and terrorists may wear kaffiyehs, "To reduce their meaning to support for terrorism has a tacit racist tone to it," Bishara said.

Malkin, in a posting following up on last week's column, said of Dunkin's decision to pull the ad, "It's refreshing to see an American company show sensitivity to the concerns of Americans opposed to Islamic jihad and its apologists.

"Ray, host of the Food Network television program "30 Minute Meals" as well as a syndicated daytime talk show, began appearing in ads for Dunkin' Donuts in March 2007. When Dunkin' announced the partnership, it said Ray would be featured in TV, print, radio and online spots in a campaign running through 2010.

What have we come to, people? Who the hell are we kidding? A SCARF!!!!????What the hell is next? We (the Gov't) allow muslims to wear their headgear, but Dunkin Donuts has to pull an ad because Rachel wears a scarf and a conservative complains (with lack of intelligence)...

By goodness... GET A GRIP AMERICA!!!

TAXI TO THE DARK SIDE: WHO ARE THE TERRORISTS NOW?

Taxi to the Dark Side dives into the dark secrets of our government. While highlighting one incident out of many war crimes committed by OUR OWN government during George Bush's so called "War on Terror." Our governments eagerness to play dirty has left a bad taste in many mouths of us proud Americans.

Many of us refuse to believe that our government plays as dirty as the terrorists. When the truth is, we play dirtier. Al Queda terrorists kidnap people for ransom demands. Our government kidnaps Iraqi men on suspicion of being linked to terrorism.

Our soldiers are taught to think of Iraqi/middle eastern people as nothing but dogs. To not even consider them as human beings. The government is full of psychopathic killers in high ranking positions who value no ones lives, not even he's own people.

Now I'm a strong hater of tree hugging, peace loving hippies, but this is about the malicious treatment of fellow human beings. This is one of the reasons that our government can not be trusted. It's endless trail of lies and secrets only gains distrust for them by their own people.

Bush waged war on Al Queda terrorists for terrorizing our over rated city of NYC. Now we are terrorizing all of the middle east by kidnapping civilians, torturing them, interrogating them, and degrading them until they die. Who are the terrorists now? Wake up and see the image OUR government has burned into the minds of young middle eastern kids. We now have to teach our children to be aware of the future for those middle eastern kids will seek their revenge. And everyone will remember how George W. Bush single handily destroyed our once great nation. (much like how he ruined all his previous businesses).

Bin Laden isn't the most dangerous terrorists, it's George W. Bush. Also known as the anti-Christ by some.

I have actually yet to see the movie but will do so once it is released on DVD.

OBAMA vs CLINTON: A HISTORY IN THE MAKING?

These two are probably the two most famous presidential candidates. If one of these two wins the election, they will be making history. Literally.

If Barack Obama wins, he'll be the first BLACK President. That is a big big big thing for this nation. Our nation. It's saying that "Hey! We ARE a nation of diversity." I guess.

If Hillary Clinton wins, she will be the first FEMALE President. That's also a big thing. I guess.

So "I guess" that really means these two are the duo that will change American minds.

But will it make a difference in how America handles it's foreign relations? No. If you enjoy conspiracy theories like myself than you know that the "President" really isn't in the drivers seat. The President is just the image of America that they publicly display to the world. Like how Ronald McDonald the clown is the face of the McDonald's restaurant chain, but the ones that run the show are behind closed doors.

Nothing will really change. Terrorists will still want to kill us. The war will never end, Bush buried us deep in this sh#t hole that we'll never get out it. Just like how he leaves all his business ventures, in chaos. The world will soon turn against us. Bush has soured relations left and right with his policies and ideas. I don't think he's listening to the real rulers of this nation. Bush is a little slow.

WILL TIBET EVER BE FREE? IT HASN'T BEEN FOR 700 YEARS

These two white guys got balls. You do not want to be arrested in China. Give it up to you white people. Always fighting other peoples fights. Always the first to the protest and always the last to leave. It's the passion thing again.

Oh I bet the Olympic committee is kicking themselves in the a$$ about this years summer Olympics, to be held in China. China known for it's vast amount of bootleg and hacked items has a darker side to it's entity. They are also known for their governments strict and unjust laws. Also lets not forget their long fight with Tibet.

With the Olympic games in few short months protesters are out in full force boycotting the torch relays around the world. The only North American run in San Francisco was a widely discussed topic this past week. "FREE TIBET!" was the common slogan found on protesters signs.

Tibet has been trying to become free since it was conquered first by the Mongol Empire 700 years ago. Will it ever be free? I don't think so. China rules with an iron hand. I mean the great Brad Pitt tried a few years back. Now he won't even talk about it. He's on to easier things to change/help, like Africa. China will never give up Tibet or any of it's property. So in hine sight. Just give up people.

Oh I know a few that are gonna get on my case about the end of that last paragraph. Sometimes there just isn't a light at the end of the tunnel. Am I a cold heartless individual? No, I'm a realist. I don't cloud my mind with religious hopes and dreams otherwise known as crap. I see things for what they really are. So with that I see no end to China's rule over Tibet. The WHOLE world would have to wage war on China to free Tibet and even with that, I think China will fight to the end. And you wanna know why? Chinese are full of pride and are very stubborn.

VICTIMS OF THE IRAQ WAR

Warning these images are graphic. Let them open your eyes to the consequences of George W. Bush's war against the middle east. Look at the children and say to yourself what if that was your son or daughter. How would you feel about our Government now? How do you feel now about the man YOU voters voted for?

VOTE OR NOT

This week was "Super Tuesday." What that really means? There wasn't really anything super about Tuesday. Just idiots lining up to vote.Someone asked me if I voted and you know my response was going to be? "No, I'm not that stupid."

Do you really think that anyone of these candidates are honest and straight forward? Are people that dumb? They're politicians for Christ's sake! They're all liars and cheats, every single one of them. They say things to get your vote. They're the best sales people in the country, they sell you sh#t and you all seem to buy into it.

Diddy last time said Vote or Die. If you think about it, either way you die. No matter what you're going to die, it's inevitable. So I say make the best of your time here, why waste time voting? A single vote doesn’t change the world. This isn’t High School ASB elections.

As an aspiring conspiracy theorist, isn’t it safe to say that voting is a good way for the government to keep track of our population. But that’s your choice to believe or not. It’s your right to believe in whom ever you want.

JUST BECAUSE I LIKE HIS PROPAGADA

I just enjoy that this old guy running for Presidency is marketing the way he is. It's fresh and hip. It's not the the regular cookie cutter BS that the other politicians do.

He's much smarter and probably on a low budget, but it's working out just fine. He's getting his name across to everyone.

If I voted I would probably have to place my vote for him. But I'm to smart to vote and put myself out there for the government to track. Big brotha's trying to keep tabs on everyone. Watch yourself.
See Kings of Society for conspiracy ideas and theories.

MALCOLM X AIN'T GOT NUTHIN' ON OBAMA

Malcolm X (right) doesn't have anything on Barack Obama (left). While X had the power to command the whole black community. Obama might soon have the power to command the whole United States.

Obama is the front runner for becoming the first Black President. The question is wether white America will allow it to happen? And if it does, will his life be treatened daily? A risk no reasonable man would want to take. But Obama isn't the ordinary man. He's much like Malcolm X; a natural born leader.

He's become so popular that women actually cry in his presence. His following grows bigger with each and every campaign stop. Recently Oprah Winfrey jumped in and publicly supports Obama. And everyone knows that when the you have Oprah's approval, you're set. Her show reaches so many viewers and her follow is so huge that they would do anything she says. Her influence is much much greater than a Jedi Master.

Or he could very well be the anti-christ. Everyone falls in love with him and gains every one's trust and then he turns into the devil. Who knows, but if there was a black male that could win the Presidency at this day in age, he would be the one. Al Sharpton, Jesse Jackson are both wannabes of their predecessor Martin Luthor King and Malcolm X. If those two were still alive today, there would be no Al Sharpton or Jesse Jackson.

We'll know by years end if 2009 will be the beginning of change as the first minority (black) man becomes a president or if the first female will become president. Or not the people can vote Ron Paul! I don't know who the F-cup he is but I see those "Google Ron Paul" shirts everywhere. I kinda want one now.

NEW MILLENNIUM IN ETHIOPIA 7 YEARS LATE

New millennium in Ethiopia TheStar.com - News - New millennium in Ethiopia

13-month calendar finally flips to year 2000 and, amid celebrations, PM foresees `glorious new page'

September 13, 2007

REUTERS NEWS AGENCY

ADDIS ABABA–Seven years after the rest of the world, Ethiopia entered the 21st century yesterday with parties, prayers and gestures of political reconciliation.

Tens of thousands of revellers packed Addis Ababa's main square for festivities overnight that Prime Minister Meles Zenawi said should mark the vast Horn of Africa nation's renaissance.

Ethiopia follows a calendar, long abandoned by the West, that squeezes 13 months into every year.

Meles said the occasion heralded a "glorious new page" in the history of a country that, from the 1980s, became internationally synonymous with hunger and conflict.

"A thousand years from now, when Ethiopians gather to welcome the fourth millennium, they shall say the eve of the third millennium was the beginning of the end of the dark ages in Ethiopia," he said.

"They shall say that the eve of the third millennium was the beginning of the Ethiopian renaissance."

Whistles, car horns and sirens shook the air at midnight.

At dawn, worshippers wrapped in traditional white robes flocked to church, crossing paths with partygoers returning from a once-in-a-lifetime celebration.

"I've come for God's blessing," said Michele Fantaye, smearing ash on his forehead. "I hope the next 1,000 years will deliver peace and unity."

Banging drums, Orthodox Christian priests sang of the importance of the occasion in Ethiopia's ancient Ge'ez language in churches choked with incense.

As home to the 3-million-year-old "Lucy" skeleton, Ethiopia and its 81 million people claim to live in the cradle of humanity, the birthplace of coffee and the only African nation not to be colonized.

But "the darkness of poverty and backwardness" had dimmed Ethiopia's proud reputation, Meles said. "We cannot but feel deeply insulted that at the dawn of the new millennium ours is one of the poorest countries in the world," he said.

He was speaking at a new exhibition hall where U.S. hip-hop act Black Eyed Peas performed for dignitaries and the capital's elite.

Many stayed away from the official event, regarded by critics as a government project. They preferred to party for free in sports fields rather than pay $170 – two months' wage for many – to rub shoulders with the wealthy.

Some in Addis Ababa, an opposition stronghold, were angry at the government's campaign to clear the streets of thousands of beggars, and at the spiralling cost of food for the millennium.

"I don't think much will change," said resident Belai Kassa. "Most of us will stay poor." (HAiDER Comment: At least the guys being realistic)

Most Ethiopians spent a rainy New Year's Day with their families. Sweeping away ashes of bonfires lit the night before, many held a day's fasting to be broken today by a meal of njera, spongy Ethiopian bread, and roasted goat.

A host of millennium events were delayed or dropped because of security concerns in Ethiopia which is embroiled in Somalia's conflict, locked in a bitter border row with Eritrea, and fighting separatist rebels in its Ogaden region.

Criticized internationally for an opposition crackdown after disputed 2005 elections, the government released nearly 18,000 prisoners this week. There were 230 political prisoners, including 35 Oromo Liberation Front (OLF) rebels.

HAiDER Says: Get with the times, that was so 7 years ago. When only a small groug hated America (Bin Ladin).

BEN STEIN CHIMES IN ON THE LARRY CRAIG LYNCHING

(CBS) Sunday Morning commentator Ben Stein has a few words for the Minneapolis police's behavior in the arrest of Sen. Larry Craig, and for the Republican leadership's response.

The whole story of Senator Larry Craig, the Republican of Idaho who announced his resignation yesterday, is a nightmare of out-of-control police and weak politicians.

Senator Craig has been the innocent victim of a set-up by the evil-minded police of Minneapolis-St. Paul that Stalin would have admired.

Here's the deal: Senator Craig went into a men's room at the Twin Cities airport. He entered a lavatory stall. He tapped his foot. He may or may not have reached his hand down under the lavatory partition to pick up a piece of paper or to make a signal.

That's it. That's the whole thing. There was no sex act of any kind.

So the policeman who happened to be in the next stall walks Senator Craig off, starts bullying him, accusing him of lying and, implicitly, threatens to ruin Senator Craig's career.

ALL FOR A MAN TAPPING HIS FOOT IN A PUBLIC BATHROOM.

This is insane.

If a police officer can wreck a man's career over this trifle, then we might as well not have a Constitution or a Bill of Rights.

Look, I spend a lot of time in Idaho. These are good people. I can readily see why a Senator from there would quietly plead guilty to a small charge rather than risk a public fight - even though the police seem to have wrecked Craig's career anyway.

What I don't understand is why the GOP is tossing Senator Craig overboard as if he were a terrorist.

Even if it turns Senator Craig is gay, so what? Barney Frank is gay and he's one of the best members of the Congress. There are lots of fine gay public servants. Senator Craig has been the victim of a police lynching. A party that believes in individual rights should be rallying to his defense, not making him walk the plank.

Shame on the GOP leadership, and utter disgrace to the airport police and their thug behavior.

These are security people in airports.

Hello! An airport? Don't they have anything better to do?

HAiDER Says: Right on Ben. Power to the people. People love to ruin careers in this day and age. I'd love to try it on someone myself. Aw the joy of destruction.

Ben Stein
