THE DARK KNIGHT HYPE LIVES UP TO IT'S EXPECTATIONS

So I FINALLY got to watch The Dark Knight. And the conclusion I came up with is that it surpassed all the expectations I had. I was just blown away by the movie. But it made me so upset to see Heth Ledger's portrayal of the Joker, knowing that he's dead and that the can't reprise the role. Because Heth's performance made the movie...it really was the best work in his short career. And knowing that he won't be able to continue the role is so saddening and disappointing. Johnny Dep is good but he wouldn't be able to give the darkness that Ledger gave to the role.

God is truly not fair.

I just loved the Joker, who was just a brilliant genius psychopath, who wasn't driven by money, but more so with the thrill of the game. The Joker in The Dark Knight movie was the perfect interpretation of the comic book Joker. Maybe even darker.

One of the best things about the movie was that it gave you a sense that the movie was about to end and then bang it just picks up again. It did that about 3 times. And when it finally got to the ending you where waiting for it to pick up again...I didn't want it to stop.

Batman was Batman, Christian Bale is still the perfect Batman/Bruce Wayne. Though he looked slimmer this time around his acting was okay as Batman, but great as Bruce Wayne. I mean his fighting was great as Batman, but his Batman voice has really got to go. He's trying to hard to give that deep raspy voice. Take it down a notch and he'll be good.

I only wish I had watched it in Imax. I didn't buy the first one but I will definitely buy this one when it comes out on DVD. I can't say it's the best movie of the summer because it's the only movie I've seen in the summer but to me it's the best movie of the year. Amazing!

HULU.COM: AN ONLINE TREASURE

This could be one of the greatest things on the internet. Hulu.com allows you to view TV episodes and Movies [in their system] for FREE!

The great thing about it [other than it being free] is the fact that the picture is hi-res.

The only draw back is when watching TV episodes there are 30 second commercial breaks. I haven't watched a movie yet so I don't know if they throw in some advertising.

Hulu's selection isn't that big yet but it's still got good amount to select from. So if the budget is low for the weekend and need a movie to watch, surf onto Hulu.com and enjoy.

WEEK 7 REVIEW OF ABDC2

Okay so I'm really behind on last weeks review. Been really busy. So here's my thoughts on last weeks show.

SoREAL CRU
3 out of 5

The intro was tight. That was a dope sequence. The timing was on point. But the middle of the routine lacked a bit. It wasn't up to their standard. Up until this point they've set a standard for themselves that was set pretty high. They met it every week, but starting last week they haven't been up to standard. They're slippin' a little bit. I think they might be a bit exhausted from the weeks quick choreographies. And someone tell me what was up with that lame ending? The ending sucked so bad. I was like is this SoReal Cru or someone else? It was worse than that one ending a few weeks ago where they ended it with a basic bboy combo, but he did it terribly. I'm surprised that they made it to the top 2 in this weeks show.

SUPER CR3W
4.5 out of 5

Aside from the Ninja performance in the first week, this has to be their second best performance. The "We Fly High" one was dope but this beats that, I think. The funny thing is in the Ninja one they started off with a tower and in this one they start off with a tower. I like them putting more choreography in the routine. Like I've said before they aren't the Jabbawockeez, who are mostly bboys that can dance and break really well. Super Cr3w has mad bboy skills but their dancing is just good. The way they used the stage was tight. It's no question they belong in the top 2, going against SoReal. They should take it.

BOOGIE BOTS -Eliminated
2.5 out of 5

WTF was that? Their performance was whack. Missy pointed it out. They really had Lil Momma's comments the other week still in the back of their minds. You could see the tension and how much it bothered them. And man did it show. I mean it was slight mess up after slight mess up. The whole routine was sloppy and I couldn't see their performance one that Missy would put in her videos. It was their time a long time ago I'm just glad they're finally gone.

FANNY PAK
5 out of 5

This group is just an amazingly talented group. They deserve all the credit that they get. The totally got the concept of the challenge. And they rocked it. I think the dig on Super Cr3w actually hurt them more than they were jokingly mocking it out to be. I really don't agree with America sending them to the bottom 2 and eventually sending them home this week. That's just wrong. They clearly out performed SoReal last week. But you know that's how the game is played and you know MTV had a hand in their departure this week.

SHUTTER MOVIE A BIG FAT WASTE OF TIME

Okay so I watched that American adaptation of the Japan movie Shutter. Boy was it a big disappointment. For one, it involved another dead girl hell bent on revenge. The second, it involved a Japanese girl that was crazy over an American man. [I bet Japanese girls are appalled by the image they are painting of Japanese women. Very needy and if not tended to, will go crazy and stock you]. Third, instead of keeping the story in Japan, why not bring it to the US, since it is an adaptation of the movie. You can base it in the US instead of Japan. It just looks weird when the "white" leading characters parade around Japan like they fit in with the rest of the crowd...it's lame. And fourth, it's the same f#*king story [basically]. It's like watching the Grudge and The Ring. It's like come on. Think of something else original, you're original idea isn't original anymore.

What pissed me off the most was the big advertising about the "Shocking" alternate ending. There was nothing shocking about it. They added a little part with the wife in the scene. That was it. I almost threw my remote control at the TV for that. It didn't' live up to the hype at all. The story sucked, like The Ring or The Grudge, it's just all shock value, making the girl look extremely terrifying.

I will never ever pick up a Japanese horror flick. It's all the same. In fact there really isn't a truly scary movie out there. The last time I was really freaked out was watching The Exorcism of Emily Rose. Now that gave me the chills. Is it real or is it in her head, or what. Did God really allow all of it to happen and then ask her if she wanted out or carry on with the message that the devil and demons do exist? That was a good movie.

WEEK 6 REVIEW OF ABDC2

This week the challenge was to use props and the theme was a high school theme. Some crews followed the theme perfectly incorporating their props with routines while others struggled to incorporate the props with their routines. Instead they let the props take over their routines.

FANNY PAK
3.5 out of 5

This is the first week that this crew didn't bring it. I agree with JC, I think they let the props control them this week, where usually they are the ones in control of the props. It seemed like they were thinking to much on this routine. They were so conscious about the props that they forgot about the routine. But they were still very entertaining to watch, as they always are. I see this team being one of the top 3 teams.

SoREAL CRU
4 out of 5

As always this crew nails the concept/theme of the week. They are so technical that it's just amazing how they can choreograph a routine given any theme smoothly. If Ailyn's parents, who for the first time in her dance career came to watch her perform don't support her after seeing her tonight than she's got whack parents. If her parents think there's no career in dancing, her parents need to stop living in their boring world and open there eyes to the numerous choreography opportunities that are open to Ailyn. Anyways SoReal Cru again performs an amazing number. And they are for sure one of the top 3 heading into the finale.

BOOGIE BOTS
3.5 out of 5

I loved this group in the beginning, I still like them, but the reality of it is their time has been up. They are the weakest crew up there. And this week they managed to dodge another bullet and remain on the show. Though they performed a better number this week, the mishap two weeks ago should have sent them home. They are starting to become this seasons Status Quo. Everyone remembers how Status Quo managed to dodge the boot week after week. If this is the case than we might see Boogie Bots in the finale. And if that were to happen than I think I've lost all respect for my fellow American's who vote. Heck if they don't go home NEXT week, than I think I'm just gonna stop watching the show.

SUPER CR3W
4.5 out of 5

Just when you think this crew was starting to slip up, they come back this week with a sick performance. They had it all, breaking stunts, regular stunts [courtesy of Do-Knock] and CHOREOGRAPHY! Yes they had choreography, and a good one too. This crew isn't the total package that Jabba is but they sure are good enough to be as entertaining as Jabba. The whole basketball theme they did was amazing, how they played ball and did all those moves with the ball. They definitely belong in the top 3 for the finale.

SUPREME SOUL -Eliminated
4 out of 5

Finally this crew brings it. But a little to late. Week after week we've been waiting for them to wow us and now they finally do. To be honest with you, I thought this crew went home a week early. I thought they were for sure going to go in week 7 and not week 6. I didn't think they should have went up against Super Cr3w this week. It should have been Boogie Bots and SS, and SS would have stayed. The hockey idea was a good one, doing their steps like as if they were on ice was a nice touch. A great performance, but like I said it was unfortunate that they had to go up against Super Cr3w. One more thing, what is up with them ballin' like babies? Throughout the whole competition they acted all tough and cocky and now that they were voted out they start ballin'? What up with that?

FINAL WORD: I am really confused [like most] that Boogie Bots is still there. The weakest team remains on the show. Lil Momma put it best. "The Boogie Bots don't excite me!" I think the guy from Boogie Bots is getting a lot of sympathy votes because of his dad.

WEEK 5 REVIEW OF ABDC2

Yet again another busy week for me so yet again I lag on putting up my weekly review of America's Best Dance Crew. But here it is better late than never...

Week 5's challenge was to create a routine to Janet Jackson songs.

FANNY PAK
4.5 out of 5

Again another solid performance by Fanny Pak. Another great choreographed routine by Cady. This group just remains solid and perfect in their execution. I just love how Cady choreographs his routines to the song. He throws in movements and jestures that follow certain beats of the song. He's actually very technical and it totally shows. And then there's the little nice touch Cady ads to the piece. He has Tiffani and Cara kiss. And did Tiffani kiss Cara or what. I don't think Cara expected that much contact. It was great.

SUPREME SOUL
3.5 out of 5

Though I thought it was a better performance from the group than last weeks. I have to agree with Shane, that they didn't wow me. Week in and week out thier performances are OKAY, but not GREAT. I liked certain parts of it more than others. Like for example the part where Bionic does like a drum down. That was cool. But the rest wasn't that good. Especially the parts with Raul (their resident b-boy), his parts just looked a bit sloppy. He doesn't seem to be that good of a b-boy. I would really be surprised if they get any further.

Boogie Bots
3.5 out of 5

Boogie Bots was one of my favorite crews in the beginning. But lately their performances haven't that good. Last week they end up messing up the ending while the beginning and middle of the performance was really confusing and somewhat messy. I was shocked to see that they weren't one of the bottom crews. With that terrible performance last week I for sure thought that they were going be packing their bags this week. But they dodged a big bullet. I would consider them to have a strong chance at getting eliminated next week.

SoREAL CRU
4.5 out of 5

WOW the girls were WOW. Straight sexy and not at all trashy. The two girls is what keeps the attention on the group. Their choreography is very very technical. Much like Fanny Pak's, but their transitions are like Kabba but better. It's smoother and fun. But without these two girls no one would pay attention long enough to the group to see the very detailed choreography. I mean the guys aren't exactly good looking. They aren't good for TV (much like myself). Ailyn is just so cute. You just can't wait to see her perform every week. But I've noticed that the camera focuses more on Jackie than Ailyn. Which is wrong, it should be the other way around. But yeah their performance was off the hook.

SUPER CR3W
3.5 out of 5

Just an OKAY performance from our favorite crew. Our resident b-boys just aren't good with actual choreography, it's just something their not used to. But their performance was still entertaining but there just wasn't a big "Wow" factor in it. There was a little "wow" in it but nothing that got you all excited. The boys just need to give us another cool gimick like the Ninja one. I still think this crew has a chance to win it all. They just need to step it up more and give us something dope and amazing, like they have before in past performances. They're capable of it and we all know it.

A.S.I.I.D. -Eliminated-
4 out of 5

This group didn't belong in the bottom this week. Last week they tore it up and this week they did the exact same thing. But apparently America felt different. One team was going to go and you know the judges weren't about to cut the "fan favorite" Super Cr3w out of the show. They're one of the main reasons that people watch the show. I really thought Boogie Bots (as much as I like them) should have been voted off this week. ASIID should have been voted off next week.

GHOST HUNTERS INTERNATIONAL A BIG BUST

As an avid watcher of Ghost Hunters and the T.A.P.S. crew I gave Ghost Hunters International a chance since it had T.A.P.S. members in it. But then I later found out that they were no longer formal member of TAPS but instead just a part of the TAPS family (think of it as MySpace for paranormal groups). Brian Harnois, Andy Andrews and Donna La Croix are booted TAPS members. Well Brian and Andy are, I believe Donna left on personal gain to be more of a lead person on International.

So far I've seen two seasons of GHI and I tell you what, they're in and out of the European countries. They've been to places with hideous pasts and they haven't really found an good evidence. Either that tells me that ghosts don't really exist or that they just don't have the eye for it without the help of the TAPS team. Honestly they haven't found any evidence that would make you go "Wow!" like the TAPS team have found.

And then there's the GHI team. Brian Harnois is as dumb as he was with the TAPS team, only difference is that no one calls him on it, because their leader isn't much of a leader. He over exaggerates things and see things off camera that makes you wonder if he's making it up to look good on TV.

Andy Andrews is Mr. Over Exaggerator. His delivery is always to much. His facial expressions remind me of the one image of Senator Hillery Clinton when she was bug eyed. He's just so annoyingly annoying.

Donna La Croix on Ghost Hunters seemed to be a bitchy girl that wants to be a leader but doesn't really know how to be one. She's just full of herself you can tell, but they don't show it on TV, but you can tell by her body language. She just wanted to be on TV more.

The leader of the group Robert Demarest is to soft spoken and lacks any authority in his directions. Not to mention he looks like a child molestor or child porn player. He's not much of leader he never really gives any orders. He just let's the team do whatever. So I don't know why he's titled Lead Investigator.

Then there's Barry Fitzgerald who sees things no one else seems to see. I think Brian got some tips from this guy to pretend to see something. Barry has numerous times on numerous episodes run off or claimed to have see some horrible paranormal activity. But yet when he says somethings happening there is no other evidence to back up what he claims to be seeing. He reminds me of that British paranormal show that used to show on the Travel Channel. You know the dude with white hair and dressed like a rich business man and would totally exaggerate what he claims to see.

I think this show is a lame spin-off of Ghost Hunters. The original is still the best and will always be. GHI tries to hard and the members/team aren't really camera friendly faces. There's no one for you to get attahced to.

WEEK 4 REVIEW OF ABDC2

Okay I know this review of week 4 is a bit late. But I've had some "technical" delays/issues to deal with that I haven't been able to long on to do my thing. Let's begin by saying this weeks challenge of going slow and then fast was kinda dumb, I thought. Here's the run down on the crews...

BOOGIE BOTS
3 out of 5
After two strong weeks of performances, the Boogie Bots dropped down a notch this week. They were a bit sloppy at times and a bit confusing the rest of the time. Didn't get what story (if any) they were trying to tell on this routine. The ending seemed to be aborted as it seems that he lost his balance and just fell down. It was bad performance from the Boogie Bots.

SUPER CR3W
3.5 out of 5
Gimmick looked great, story was great, very entertaining, BUT on the difficult factor it was about a 4. Super Cr3w seemed to drop it down a notch also. I'm just hoping that they're not loosing their steam as the weeks progress. They're very entertaining and creative I don't see how they won't be able to bounce back from this set back.

A.S.I.I.D.
4.5 out of 5
This week did they bounce back or what. This week and theme was theirs. Thought I agree withe the judges on how ballerina's fit in with their cops and robbers theme. But it was still a good performance.

SoREAL CRU
4.5 out of 5
Another solid week for the new Kabba Modern crew of this season. The got the who concept down this week. They are a very technical crew so this wasn't such a difficult challenge for them. Their girls are looking hotter and hotter every week. They just seem to get sexier and sexier. I was more in favor of Jackie Lautchang in the beginning but now I think I'm switching to "Eye Candy" Ailyn Isidro, but she really is "eye candy." She looks hot on TV.

FANNY PAK
4.5 out of 5
The 80's prom theme and the punk rocker girl spiking the punch bowl was very fun and very entertaining, but that's nothing new for this fun and entertaining group is it? For the group to tell a story in 55 seconds and have it make so much sense and to incorporate a whole dance routine that is so well choreographed by Matt Cady was just so pleasant. Tony Testa's Nick 6 would have better performances if Matt was their choreographer. Matt surpasses Tony "Whack" Testa by light years.

SUPREME SOUL
3.5 out of 5
Again they have yet to live up to their hype. They say the want to be the best dance crew but they have yet to prove that. They had an "Okay" performance this week. I liked last weeks better than this weeks. I've got to knock down anyone or crew that throws in the Tony Tesa's "Rockin Air Guitar" move. It's just lame and it's for little kids. At other times they were kinda moving into formations like a cheer leading squad would. Like when the did those baby side steps to form a line. It reminded me of a cheer leading squad's move. And then there's the arrogant shirts that they wore "Know Your Rank" which is a collabo with Invisible Stripes, CJ[Pharside], and George[Ge-Nius]. It is apparently a phrase used by Pharside to talk down to and putting subordinates in their place. So says the sites description of the shirts. That just supports the fact that this crew is cocky and arrogant. They will fall into the category of reality show villans. With the likes of Flavor of Love's New York. Or the Apprentice's Amarosa. They won't be America's favorite crew they will be America's most hated crew. That will be their claim to fame.

PHRESH SELECT - ELIMINATED
3 out of 5
Everyone knew this crew would be the out this week. You had to have known. They were the weakest link. They're just to new of a crew to have any real cohesiveness. They don't know each other well enough. And it showed big time. They had good routines during the second season, but not good enough to get far.

Final Word: I think from here on out it's kinda obvious who will be taken out week in and week out. Next week I predict that Super Cr3w and Boogie Bots will be the bottom two. With Boogie Bots departing. It gets harder for the judges to choose who gets booted because all the crews left are good. But the picture of who's going to win it all this season will become clearer from this point on. I've got an idea which I will reveal in week 5's review.

WEEK 3 REVIEW OF ABDC2

This week we saw better performances with some, and some drop down a notch and a some just "turnt" it up. The theme as stated on MTV's site is: The eight remaining crews must create a routine that utilizes a unique physical transformation that is inspired by the song title. Here's the low down on the crews...

SoREAL CRU
4.5 out of 5 stars
They definitely made up for last weeks performance. Last week they were a bit sloppy with on member missing a few steps and one member at the end with the sloppy finish. But this week with the snake theme for the song "Snake" by R. Kelly the crew rocked it! The girls where hot right off the bat coming out of the snake baskets. The choreography was tight, with the technical hand movements that hit beat for beat was sweet. Awesome performance by SoReal.

SUPER CR3W
5 out of 5
Again they just blow you away with amazing unique stunts. And you know it's just not just boring stunts like Status Quo, it's unique and amazing stunts. Their song was Jim Jones' "We Fly High" and the theme they chose was "Superman". Coming out with the nerdy Clark Kent look and busting out the blue Super Cr3w Armory (inspired by their friends Jabbawockeez) shirts. It was just so entertaining, so far for 3 weeks they've been entertaining you from the second they step on stage. They are definitely friends with the Jabbawockeez cause they are just as entertaining and they don't even have masks. Throwing Do Knock in the air like 20 ft. up was just insane. Amazing performance!

BOOGIE BOTS
4 out of 5
Boogie Bots make it 3 for 3 opening up the show with 3 hot performances. Their video game theme and cool costumes dancing to the song "Game Over" by Lil' Flip was off the hook. The references to popular video games such as Street Fighter and then glowing in the dark and ending with transforming into a Transformer. It was cool and very fun.

FANNY PAK
3.5 out of 5
Dancing to the Britney Spears song "Toy Soldier" their intro where they were those green plastic soldiers we (well my generation) grew up with. Again they continue to shove it in my face. They are amazing dancers with super clean and fun routines. I agree with Shane their choreography is always hot. I say it again they are representing L.A. to the fullest. L.A. kats should back this crew up, because just because they come off weird they can hold their own with their choreography.

SUPREME SOUL
3 out of 5
This week they got the song from Flo Rida "Elevator" feat. Timbaland. So naturally they chose to do the bell boy theme. Their routine was good, they're good but again nothing was there that really made you say "Wow!" They put themselves on a high standard from the live audition and each week since then they haven't really made me say "Wow!" Others crews have, like Fanny Pak! But Supreme Soul has yet to do so. Will they ever? I dunno, it's yet to be seen. Right now, they aren't even on the same level as the Jabbawockeez in entertaining the crowd. They're just alright. They need to "turnt" it up.

PHRESH SELECT
3 out of 5
Struggles in the beginning of the week trying to come up with a routine for "Big Things Poppin" by T.I. their routine showed some of that conflict during the week. The performance was a bit messy. It was an okay routine, they had some cool looking stunts, but no "wow" factor. They actually looked like they belong in the bottom 2. They need to step it up next week to stay out of the bottom. Cause next week they will most likely be there.

XTREME DANCE FORCE
3 out of 5
Eliminated!
Dancing to the song "Earthquake" by Tech 9 again they bring a routine that didn't seem that creative and was pretty sloppy. I'll give it to them though because they had a pretty hard theme to come up with routine to. Their time was about up anyhow. They were the weaker of the remaining teams. Next to Phresh Select.

Final words: I thought that a lot of the crews came up with another hot performance mainly Boogie Bots and Super Cr3w. Others improved from last week such as SoReal Cru and Fanny Pak. Surprisingly one crew dropped a notch...A.S.I.I.D.

WEEK 2 REVIEW OF ABDC2

Alright so this is the week that the real competition starts. The theme was take a hit music video, emulate it but make it your own. There's no more freebies from here on out. This week would show some weaknesses that some groups have. Like some crews weren't used to the style of dance on the music video or certain individuals in many of the crews felt uncomfortable knowing that they had to learn a new move. But overall all the crews had good performances. Here's my review of the crews...

SUPER CR3W -CHRIS BROWN-"Run It"
4 out of 5 stars

The overall performance was good. It was very entertaining. They have a little bit of the Jabba swagger about them in their performance. It seems as if they go to a lot of Phil's or Chris Styles work shop. Their routine dancing isn't up to par with Jabba but since they're good friends with Jabba, I'm sure Jabba won't have a problem with giving them some pointers. But their breaking is off the hook. And what you've seen of their breaking is only a drop of their full breaking potential. Just watch their youtube clips. It'll blow your mind away.

The thing I enjoy most about them is that (again like Jabbawockeez) they use the whole stage. Actually even more than Jabba did. They entertain you from the second they start to the end of their performance. I have to admit at the end I thought their timing was off, but what I thought was the end wasn't, there was a rewind thing and then it ended with the two guys posing. I really thought the end was the two guys flipping.

Now people might think well then they're like Status Quo, just filled with stunts. Not so. Because Super Cr3ws stunts are precise and controlled. Status Quo's was never precise nor controlled. Break dancing is about stamina, control, and execution. SC do it well.

FANNY PAK -GWEN STEFANI - "Wind It Up"
4 out of 5 stars

So far this group has made me eat my words since the live auditions. And I'm man enough to admit that I was totally wrong about them. They are odd, eccentric at that. I love the 80's but I really don't want to still sport it, but more power to them. This group is amazingly entertaining to watch. Their routines are well choreographed and well executed by the group. And not to mention they're fun routines.

The one thing I like about them is that their routines tell a story. Like Super Cr3w they are thriving and doing well each week because their groups performance is about entertaining the crowd, and their routines are about tell you the crowd a story in less than a minute.

SUPREME SOUL -OMARION- "TOUCH"
3 out of 5 stars

Their performance was definitely better than last weeks. The had some cool fast footwork in parts of the routine that made it look good, but I still feel like last week they didn't really use the full stage. They're a crew that spews out their over confidence and ego to the audience when they talk, but their performances don't really show it. Come to think of it their routine reminded me of a Janet Jackson routine, featuring Tony Testa. I mean the routine was good, but it just reminds me of a routine Janet would come up with.

There weren't any crazy stunts that would really wow you. Again these act like they're the best dance crew ever, but they have yet to show that.

PHRESH SELECT -CHRIS BROWN-"Gimme That"
3.5 out of 5 stars

Another solid performance by the Philly crew. The got the whole Chris Brown grove down. The emulated Brown and his dancing well. The only thing that still throws me off with this group is the big man. The tall one, Mark. He just seems out of place. Kinda like that big guy from Status Quo. But difference is big man Mark can dance. But his height is just out of place. It seems like he should be playing ball or football or some sport, not dancing. But other than that the guys did a good job.

ASIID -CIARA- "Like A Boy"
4 out of 5 stars

Very fun performance, so full of energy. They know how to really dance. It's not typical hip hop video dancing. It's just good fun dancing. And they don't have real stunts, but their choreography makes up for it. Just like J.C. said, they have that certain magic to them. A very solid team.

SoREAL CRU -USHER- "Love In This Club"
3.5 out of 5 stars

Overall good performance by this seasons Kabba Modern. Their moves aren't as smooth as Kabba's but their girls are definitely better looking. The begining was cool, how they all split up.

The thing that erks about this crew is Andrew (I'm sorry Flip brotha) but you just don't make for good television. You're a bit goofy looking. And putting you in the middle most of the time isn't such a good idea. Again I'm sorry bro, but I have to tell it how it is. The group is a good dance crew a top crew this season.

That ending was very weak. I thought there was really no place for it. And his combo was very amateurish for a BBoy. Flare to nickel (aka windmill) back to a flare is pretty much the basic combo that you first learn. I think that was Brian Fucanan. It was real slow and sloppy. One flare to half a windmill to a flare to a back tuck weak very weak. Breakers all around were disappointed with that combo.

XTREME DANCE FORCE -MARIO- "Let Me Love You"
3 out of 5 stars

Looser than last weeks performance for sure. But still this group just bothers me. I don't think they bring anything original to the table. I don't like their look. The tall Spanish (Armando) guy at first look on the streets doesn't look like he can step side to side let alone do a full routine. Their persona bothers me too. I just don't dig their boy band burbs attitude.

Their routine was okay. But most of the moves are from Mario's video anyways. The ending was gutsy, jumping down to ground level, which probably was about 12 feet high from his highest point. But other than that nothing impressive from this group.

BOOGIE BOTS -B2K feat. DIDDY- "Bump Bump Bump"
3.5 out of 5 stars

Smooth just straight out smooth performance. They brought it this week. Last week they lacked a little, but this week they brought it. Or as Lil Mama would say "They Turnt it up!" The transitions were smooth, the stunts were smooth, the choreography was smooth. Just a very solid performance for the crew.

The crew has a lot of potential. I just wish the two girls on their crew that couldn't make the show (due to one being in nursing school and the other a full time dancing gig...touring for some artist I bet). So the crew is left with just 5 members (the smallest crew this season). But they all pick up the slack and pull out some solid performances so far.

SASSx7 -BRITNEY SPEARS- "I'm A Slave 4 U"
2.5 out of 5 stars.

These girls just don't belong in this competition. This is mainly a hip-hop dance competition. Their style of dancing just isn't for this show. I felt sorry for them because they got Britney Spears as their music video. The choreography in her video's are so simple that a toddler can perform them. Britney's so dumb and untalented that her choreographers had to dumb down their routines so that she could follow them. Which doesn't help the already doomed SassX7.

WEEK 1 REVIEW OF ABDC2

So Thursday night America's Best Dance Crew season 2 priemered with a two-hour special on MTV. And the first elimination took place. Here's my review of the 10 teams...

SOREAL CRU
They had a solid performance, nice and clean. Nothing that would wow you but still a good performance. It was a great way to start off the night. Solid dance crew. I gave them 4 out of 5 stars.

SUPREME SOUL
During the Live Auditions I hated these guys because of their big egos and because of that one Filipino guy with the squinty stare like. It's annoying. But I thought they were pretty good dancers. This first week, I consider them to be one of the worst performance. They belonged in the bottom 5 not the top 5. Their routine was just hard to follow and they pretty much stayed in one spot didn't utilized the stage. They saturated their routine with the arm movements. By the end I was sick of those arm movements. SS get's a 2 out of 5 stars.

EXTREME DANCE FORCE
Now these guys are straight out preppy boys that can kinda dance. Their routine was terrible. Looked like they were doing an aerobics routine. They were terrible. I really didn't enjoy their getting to know the crew segment. They act like they want to earn respect and not be the boy band suburb livin rich kids that they are casted as but in their segment they all go and get facials. It's kinda hard trying to give them respect when they act like the rich brats that people type cast them as. I gave them 1/2 of a star.

ASIID
They came out there and they were just as good as they were during the live auditions. They continued where they left off. The deaf dancer continues to impress a lot of people much like how the deaf celebrity on the latest season of "Dancing with the Stars". I gave the crew 3.5 out of 5 stars.

BOOGIE BOTS Now this crew is one of Celebrity Haider's favorite crew next to Super Cr3w coming into this season priemere. Boogie Bots where good. They brought it. Some sloppy transactions and formations but they still brought it. They get a 3.5 out of 5 stars.

SUPER CR3W
HAiDER's other favorite crew had the best performance of the night. The ninja theme really killed it. Some of their stunts were amazing very very entertaining. They had a theme in their heads and they went out and excuted it to the fullest. The BBoys rocked it. It was to short of a performance at the end you wanted to see more. I gave them a 5 out of 5 stars

PHRESH SELECT
They looked smooth out there. They had excelent formations and utilized the big stage space they had. I loved how they brought in the old school kid n play dance move and that one stunt at the end was dope. I gave these guys 3 out of 5 stars

SASSX7
I don't get these girls they either they want to be known for looking like cheerleader or not, but that night they looked like the freaking cheerleaders they are. The Los Angeles Lakers cheerleadering squad. They get 1 out 5 stars.

FANNY PAK
Okay here is the crew I was raggin on during live auditions, but I'm gonna have to eat my words from before because this crew brought it. They were surprisely entertaining and very good. I have to give it up to them. I gave them 3.5 out of 5 stars.

DISTORTED X
Based on performance that night. I believe that Fanny Pak and Distorted X "DID NOT" belong in the bottom. Based on that night it should have been Extreme Dance Force and SassX7. Distorted X had a hot routine, the girls busted the little shirt lift tease and their overall routine was good. I gave them 3 out of 5 stars.

So in the end who got sent home? Distorted X. Big disappointment because again they did not along with Fanny Pak did not belong in the bottom. They both rocked it but the judges had to choose a team to go and it was Distorted X. Next week should be a given on who's gonna go home. The cheerleader chics just don't belong in the this competition. It's not for them. They're good at what they do but they belong in their element. They need to be in the Nationals or something. Bring it on...

The real test starts on next weeks show. Just how well each team deals with a different theme every week and how well they can prepare on a short time frame. That start to weed out the weaker crews and the stronger and more talented crews will emerge. We'll just have to see in the next couple of weeks.

AMERICA'S BEST DANCE CREW 2: LIVE AUDITIONS

So the return of ABDC is coming up in a couple of weeks. June 17 to be exact but Saturday they aired the live auditions for the upcoming season. So I'm sad to say that none of the crews I mentioned made it onto the show. The ones considered to be the top crews in the West coast didn't make it onto the show, well Team Millennia made it to the live auditions but were beat out by a group wearing fanny packs! Bet they don't feel good about themselves right about now.

There weren't really any groups that looked like they were going to bring it. There are a lot of expectations considering the Jabbawockeez set the bar up so high. Like I've said before the uniqueness of the masks, creating such an entertaining character makes it so hard to watch any other crews dance. Seeing the faces of the crews makes all the crews look the same. The Jabbawockes stood out from the pack. And all it took to stand out was the masks. The Jabbawockeez as a dance crew are as talented as most dance crews in Southern California. In fact without the masks they look like a Kabba or Formality dance crew. But those darn masks do so much to make them stand out. It makes them original and that's why we grew to love them. No one in this season stands out. Except for the pansies with the fanny packs. (I'm still scratching my head about that group).

Then there's that cocky crew that claim to have beaten the Jabbawockeez in a battle. Supreme Soul. It seems that the two crews are rivals as at the end of the Jabbawockeez performance when all the crews hit the stage. Supreme Soul made it a point to not give props to the Jabbawockeez. But that's normal, if you're a groups rival. Back in the day we never gave props to crews that were our rivals. So it's understandable, but Supreme Souls cocky attitude won't go over to well with the fans. Confidence is one thing but straight out cockiness is just annoying. And seeing that dude (spiked hair) with the bitter beer face expressions doesn't help the crew. They are good, but so far they haven't really brought anything special. So we'll see how they do during the season.

So final thought? As of right now I'm not dying to watch the new season, but we'll see if all that changes when we all get to see what these crews can do during the season.

LOOK FOR FORMALITY ON THE NEXT ABDC

This is one crew to look for in the next installment of ABDC. Their name is FORMALity. These guys are one of the best crews in California. Look for them. Also look for crews such as Creo Cookies and The Company.

BETH OSTROSKY: AT BEST A 4 OUT OF 10 ON LOOKS

Beth Ostrosky for those who don't follow the Howard Stern show is Stern's fiance. He's 54 and she's 36. Sounds like a mid-life crisis to me. Howard being the perfect fiance raves about her constantly to his "yes" men cronies.
HAiDERs review of Beth Ostrosky

Beth Ostrosky
Born: July 15, 1972
Birthplace: Pittsburgh, PA
Gender: Female
Race or Ethnicity: White
Sexual orientation: Straight
Occupation: Model

-Personality-
Her personality is definitely a 10. I hear she is one of the most humble and nicest celebrity you could ever meet.

-Body-
Her body an 8 she's got a pretty nice body. She lacks a little in the buns dept, doesn't even out with that nice rack she's got. Kinda like Jennifer Lopez's problem, but not as severe as Lopez's.

-Looks-
Okay this is were the sh#t hits the fan. Her head and face. I give her looks a 4. She's got like Lisa Ling (formally of The View) eyes and it's weird for a white girl. And she's got the smile of one of those critters from those early '90's cheap horror movies titled "Critters". In fact she looks like a critter, her eyes and everything, google image "critters" and see for yourself. It's kinda freaky. And her face/head just doesn't seem to match her body. Her face looks elongated. It's like when she was being born the doctor just pulled on top of her head a little to long, stretching her face, it's just odd looking.

So overall based on those three categories, she's a 7 out of 10.

For all of you who are gonna say "Well , how do you look?! huh." I'm a -3 out of 10. Us ugly people know a lot about good looks. Because we wish we looked that way.

CLOVERFIELD: MORE LIKE SUCKYFIELD

The movie of great anticipation this week for me was Cloverfield. Been waiting for the DVD to come out so I could rent it and finally watch it. So I watched it, and damn did it suck big time.

The idea of shooting it as a documentary type film was cool. Putting the DoD: Government Property disclaimer at the beginning of the film was a nice touch. But the rest of the film was a dud. The story is basic. Survival, rescue, and death. That's pretty much the formula for the film.

I just didn't like the idea that they've created this bigger than life monster, but there's no explanation for it. Where did it come from? What is it? Why is it here? It just appears and starts terrorizing the city. And at the end of the film you still don't know what it was, where it came from, or why it's there. And throughout the movie you barely got a good look at the creature til the end and even then it's very quick. So pretty much you're left at point "A" the whole time, you didn't go anywhere. To me that's just laziness on the writers part. I mean the writer doesn't leave you wanting more, nor satisfied. You're left hungry and disappointed.

I feel I've wasted 2 hours of my life. I'd rather have watched 27 Dresses again. I don't recommend wasting your time watching this movie. Not worth the rental.

TAXI TO THE DARK SIDE: WHO ARE THE TERRORISTS NOW?

Taxi to the Dark Side dives into the dark secrets of our government. While highlighting one incident out of many war crimes committed by OUR OWN government during George Bush's so called "War on Terror." Our governments eagerness to play dirty has left a bad taste in many mouths of us proud Americans.

Many of us refuse to believe that our government plays as dirty as the terrorists. When the truth is, we play dirtier. Al Queda terrorists kidnap people for ransom demands. Our government kidnaps Iraqi men on suspicion of being linked to terrorism.

Our soldiers are taught to think of Iraqi/middle eastern people as nothing but dogs. To not even consider them as human beings. The government is full of psychopathic killers in high ranking positions who value no ones lives, not even he's own people.

Now I'm a strong hater of tree hugging, peace loving hippies, but this is about the malicious treatment of fellow human beings. This is one of the reasons that our government can not be trusted. It's endless trail of lies and secrets only gains distrust for them by their own people.

Bush waged war on Al Queda terrorists for terrorizing our over rated city of NYC. Now we are terrorizing all of the middle east by kidnapping civilians, torturing them, interrogating them, and degrading them until they die. Who are the terrorists now? Wake up and see the image OUR government has burned into the minds of young middle eastern kids. We now have to teach our children to be aware of the future for those middle eastern kids will seek their revenge. And everyone will remember how George W. Bush single handily destroyed our once great nation. (much like how he ruined all his previous businesses).

Bin Laden isn't the most dangerous terrorists, it's George W. Bush. Also known as the anti-Christ by some.

I have actually yet to see the movie but will do so once it is released on DVD.

MIAMI INK'S BACK FOR SEASON 5

The new season of Miami Ink kicked off this week, with a whole lota change. New intro, new shop (in the works) and new members to welcome in. Last season left with a clash leaving the shop one less person. Kat Von D apparently was a thorn in Ami's side. Resulting in him yanking it off and throwing it in the trash. Luckily for Kat, she's become somewhat as famous and was offered her own show by TLC.

As the break for Miami Ink played out. Kat's show aired, called LA Ink. Which is a carbon copy of Ami's shop, but with all really annoying chicks, including Kat. Who for the glamour of the show slimmed down, using the tweaker diet no less. As great of an artist as she is, her reckless and immature lifestyle will no less bring her down fall. The bitterness between Ami and his former employee continued during the break, with a promo flier of Kat "allegedly" give to Ami shortly after her firing, with a racial message and her signature. Kat repeatedly denied doing such a controversial thing. But hey, tweakers do thing they don't remember doing when they're high. I'm more of an Ami fan so I got to get his back. Besides he's much more mature than Kat. At least he takes life seriously. She, I think takes life with a grain of salt. She takes it for granted pretty much. She just wants to live that rock star lifestyle.

But anyhow the season premiere episode Ami and Nunez don't hesitate to throw jabs at Kat. Suggesting that she was the one that brought in bad vibes to the shop, how she wasn't trust worthy she really was and referring to her as the enemy. I'm sure her legions of loyal fans have been bashing Miami Ink on Kat Von D forums. But aside from the bad taste Kat left behind, they moved on. Yoji putting up full time hours now, which leads to the hire of a long time trust worthy friend Baby Dre and the addition of black and grey tattoo master Tim Hendricks to replace Kat. Ironically Tim is the guy that taught Kat everything she knows. Kat was pretty much a creation of Tim and Garver. But don't bet on her admitting that. Her ego's to big for that now.

Other than that the show is still purely about the customers and the tattoos they get. Keeping that same formula that's kept them on the air for a few seasons now. Unlike their fake drama infested rival show Inked, which was cancelled only after two seasons due to a drop in ratings. Miami Ink will continue to draw crowds and fans, because they are straight forward with their audience. It's all about the customers and their tattoos.

The truth is that Ami, Nunez and the shop will have a long business life, while Kat's LA Ink will reflect her life style fast and hard. Meaning things good/bad will come fast but in then burnout just as fast and hard, unless she grows up and acts more mature. It's sad to say because she's such a great artist, but it's the truth.

KNIGHT RIDER TV MOVIE A 2 HOUR WASTE OF TIME

Finally! I finally had time to sit down and watch the new made for TV Knight Rider movie (I recorded on DVR). Let's begin...

Being a fan of the original Knight Rider series, I had a lot of expectations for this movie. I'll tell you right, that none of my expectations were met.

I was more than disappointed in this movie. This is was a terrible movie. This movie was pretty much a proposal for a TV series. So the very idea of a TV series depended on how well this movie would do. Everything was riding on it. Boy did it fail miserably. What should have happened is that this idea should have been pitched for a big screen movie. I mean every one's trying to get old classics rehashed on the big screen. I mean for god's sake they did Starsky and Hutch. Come on the original TV series was terrible. Knight Rider is a cult classic. It should have been subject to low budget TV movie massacre. It deserves more respect than that. A big screen movie should have been made and from there a TV series would be pitched. There's more credit on the big screen than on national television.

Everything was bad in this movie, that I don't even know where to begin. The story was stupid, the actors where, as Simon Cowell would say, "Utterly horrendous!" And K.I.T.T. was a grade A bore. I don't want to give out the story because it's not worth getting into detail, it's just that bad. The main character Mike Tracuer (Michael Knight's estranged son) was plucked from the soap opera stage. So you know what that means? He's not good enough to be a real actor. And boy did it show. Actually all of the cast exibited it.

Now lets get to the main star of the show, K.I.T.T. There's just something plain and simple about the old K.I.T.T. that made him so cool and so different from all other Trans Am's. You know what I saw in the new K.I.T.T.? A Shelby GT500 Mustang...with a cool after market kit. I dunno maybe it's because I lived the whole "The Fast and The Furious" lifestyle of modifying cars with body kits, rims, spoilers, and ground fx when I was younger. That now I just see a fixed up cars as that, my youth relived. I dunno but I still find the old K.I.T.T. simply stylish. Don't get me wrong, this new on looks cool. Smooth and sleek. But it just doesn't have the vibe that the old spewed out.

I do have to say how sorely disappointed I was in a few things.

The first was the voice of K.I.T.T. it just seemed so robotic and boring. The old one had a very friendly lovable voice. You felt comfortable hearing his voice, you grew attached to it. This one, was boring as...

Second the car never used it's turbo boast! In fact the car never did anything special. Just the typical car chase scenes this car never did the most memorable K.I.T.T. move in TV cult classic land, the turbo boast. I could not believe throughout the whole movie it never did the move. How could you make a Knight Rider movie and not have the car do a turbo boast?
And the third issue was the Hoff's cameo. It was 2-5 minutes long and it was lame. It went like this...Mike standing alone in front of his mothers grave. Knight makes his way to Mike from the background, in a stiffly manner. Stands next to Mike and says "I'm sorry for your loss." blah blah blah, "I'm Michael...Michael Knight. I'm your father." blah blah blah. Extendeds his hand out, for a handshake, they shake and then Knight walks away. Mike yells out "Hey, Michael! Will I ever see you again?" And Knight stops and turns to respond, "I hope so, I hope so." (meaning: please network exects please pick up the show so I can have an acting career again). It was just so lame.

Overall I really don't see how they would be picked up for a series, unless they get some really good writers to write the show and replace the actors with actors that can actually act. I give the movie two thumbs down. Sadly disappointed.

AMERICAN GANGSTER -CELEBRITY HAiDER- REVIEW

The term "Based on a true story" seems to be thrown out there a lot now in Hollywood movies. And the guidelines for what the term means has spread. You can pretty much take a small portion of the true story and build a whole new story to fit the entertainment standard of Hollywood.

That is what's happening to a lot of movies nowadays and American Gangster is no exception.

In this based on a true story movie Denzel plays a smooth criminal mastermind named Frank Lucas who built a huge money making empire on drugs, his product? Blue Magic...which is? 100% pure cocaine, imported from Vietnam. In this story it depicts Frank Lucas as a drug dealer who's street smarts helped him get connections to bypass the middle men and get cocaine pure from the source itself (Vietnam). And his ingenious plan of shipping the drugs into the US in the coffins of fallen US soldiers in the Vietnam war. But in the end he was brought down by a determined cop (Russell Crowe) but being the ideal gangster he never turned a single gangster in only all the crooked cops on his and others payroll. Smooth gangster right? 100% true? Not even close.

Frank Lucas was no smooth dressing, talking, fair gangster, so says Nicky Barnes. Also known as Mr. Untouchable, played by Cuba Gooding Jr. in American Gangster. Nicky Barnes was also a notorious "American Gangster". He actually made more money than Frank Lucas did, with his drug empire. He was Franks competitor.

Recently on the Howard Stern show, Nicky (who is in the witness protection program) told all. About how the producers including Crowe wanted to glorify a gangster. They didn't like Nicky much so they decided to glorify Frank. He also went on to tell how Frank wasn't really the smooth criminal he was in the movie. In fact Barnes told Howard that Frank was kinda dumb and wasn't really street smart. Was definitely not smooth like Denzel in the movie. And the truth about Franks drugs were exaggerated enormously in the movie.

After hearing Barnes on the Stern show I was highly disappointed in the movie. Because before that, I thought it was one of the best gangster stories ever made. I mean it still is a great story but finding out the truth and reading about it just makes the story seem so fake. Now when I see parts I'm like "That didn't happen that way." Or "He didn't do that in real life." But I guess that's what "based on" means.
I still give the movie 4 out of 4 stars. I recommend you not read up about the truth before watching the movie. Might ruin it for you.

KNIGHT RIDER TRAILER

So I saw the trailer for the new Knight Rider show last night on NBC, and I have to admit I have my reservations about it. The car itself looks cool. But it just looks like a mustang with a nice car kit on it. A suped up GT500 Shelby, thats about it. Again it looks cool though. But I think they should of used another car. Like the police car in the transformers movie.

The acting of the main character, Justin on the preview looked like Soap drama acting...which means it's pretty bad. K.I.T.T.’s voice is pretty lame too. The original was witty and had a friendly tone to it. This one tries to sound like Optimus Prime.

The more I watch the trailer the more I'm not impressed. It’s sad cause I was really looking forward to it coming out. I dunno the car just isn't as smooth as the original. What made the old K.I.T.T. special and a memorable was his simple looks. Like his digital voice screen. The red LED on the front. The buttons on the center counsel to initiate turbo boost and the other gadgets. This new K.I.T.T. just seems to CG. Like the center counsel screen just seemed so green screened.

Check out the trailer for yourself.
