AMERICAN IDOL IS ALL BLACK & WHITE

American Idol is enjoying it’s 8th season and as the winners go, all have been either black or white. Out of 7 seasons only 2 have had any real success, Kelly Clarkson and Carrie Underwood. Both white.

Mainstream media has brain washed us to believe that leading roles belong to either black or white actors/actresses. Minorities have been painted as the funny side-kicks. The order goes like this…white, black, Spanish, and others.I think it’s about time that “America” votes a minority idol. Because apparently the success rate of the black and white winners are not so great. So might as well give another race a shot.

Look at the first season of Pussycat Dolls. The more talented contestant, who was an overall better performer and better fit for the group didn’t win, because she was Asian. But the black girl who’s name is oddly enough Asia wins it all. And she was fired the next day because she didn’t get along with the group.

America says it’s a country about diversity…it’s about time it shows it. At least in the entertainment industry.
